Dr. Theriot was born and raised in Lafayette, LA. After graduating from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2017, he worked exclusively in equine practice in Southern Louisiana. In 2019, he began practicing small animal relief work in central and southern Louisiana. Dr. Theriot’s professional interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. He strives to provide the highest level of Veterinary medicine for his patients in some of the most difficult times for his clients. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Theriot spends time with his two daughters, and enjoys playing golf and going hunting.

Emma is originally from Wisconsin. She loves working with animals and getting to meet new patients and helping each case, whether it be a routine annual exam or a sick patient. She loves the learning experiences she receives every day at Mayer Veterinary Hospital and feels there is never a dull moment on the job.

Chloe found Mayer Veterinary Hospital while on the pursuit to further her education in veterinary medicine, while working towards her Biology degree at the University of Louisiana. Her goal is to become a DVM. She is very passionate about working to better the lives of animals as well as providing comfort to those in need.

Mackenzie is currently attending ULL to get her bachelor’s in psychology. She has a passion for research and animals and hopes to become a veterinarian and specialize in exotic animal medicine! She has a whopping four dogs and eleven cats at home! In her spare time, she loves helping rescues find caring and loving homes.

Annie joined the team at Mayer Veterinary Hospital last year as the receptionist and has fallen in love with the job. She loves to help the team in any way she can while also giving lots of pets and love to our clients! She plans on one day continuing her education to become a technician.

Celine is enjoying her time here as our receptionist as she has a love for animals and interacting with the customers. She’s been in the veterinary field for three and a half years and loves that there’s never a dull moment! She agrees that there’s something so special about the attachments you get to animals that is one like no other.
